Sources
We use four categories of sources, in order of preference:
- Instagram Help Center — the official documentation for features, rules, and policies.
- Meta Business Tools documentation — for anything related to Insights, Promote, Shopping, and Meta Business Suite.
- Official Instagram announcements — product blog posts, in-app notices, and @creators posts.
- Public statements from Instagram leadership — Adam Mosseri's reels, interviews, and conference talks, when they clarify or update a rule.
Verification
Before publishing, every article is checked against the original source. If a claim can't be verified, it's either removed or clearly framed as our interpretation. We don't present interpretations as facts.
What we don't publish
- Unverified "growth hacks" or "insider tricks" that cannot be traced to an official source.
- Rumours presented as fact.
- Paid placements or sponsored content disguised as editorial.
- Fear-based marketing ("your account is about to be shadowbanned") designed to sell a product.
- AI-generated content published without human review and verification.
Corrections
If you find an error, please let us know. We correct mistakes promptly and transparently. For minor typos, we fix them silently. For factual errors, we note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date.
Independence
IGZZK is an independent knowledge site. We are not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram. We don't accept payment for coverage, and we don't let advertisers influence editorial decisions.
Updates
Each article displays a "last updated" date. If Instagram changes a rule that affects an article, we update the article and refresh the date. We don't hide the fact that a rule changed — we explain the change so you understand why the advice shifted.
